2016 Subaru Forester Release Date, Review, MSRP Price, Specs – The unveiling of the new Subaru Forester marks the release of an all new SUV vehicle that gives the drivers superb all-weather capability, high safety rating and overall versatility. The new 2016 model of the Subaru Forester marks the continuation of this brand in a big way as it was already held as one of the best small SUVs on the market. The new one represents good value of money, with enormous usefulness at a reasonable price.
This vehicle comes with wagon like practicality and is a very good compact utility vehicle. It comes with a standard all-wheel drive and has some very good characteristics given to it as it combines the some crossover capabilities, good handling of a standard car, all-weather security and off road capability like you have never seen out of a car like this one. This was the Japanese brand’s best-selling vehicle for the previous year and we are expecting big things out of it again.
For the Forester’s third model year, there are not going to be many significant changes. The car is slightly going to be remodeled and will features some stylistic interior and exterior updates. Also added are some safety features and an updated for the infotainment features of the inside of the car. There is even an announcement that the turbocharged Forester 2.0XT is going to appear on the market but this will happen after the release of this one. For now you can check out the review and study the specs and pictures provided with it and see how the car is going to fair against the new Tuscon or the latest Escape vehicle.
2016 Subaru Forester exterior
The previous designs of the Subaru Forester had a well-known look that you could see as a welcoming sight in any cold weather or rugged regions of the American continent. It has a tall wagon shape and the height of an SUV vehicle. Subaru ignored the fashion of adding swoopy lines and design marks to its Forester car for a while and the car did well without it. It does not include a racer looking utility vehicle for the 2016 model year as well and the car remains true to its roots. The new vehicle will sport a boxy shape and have a bit of an evolutionary take to the newest design. It is going to have sculptured body sides and a sculptured tail. The design is mostly adapted from the current Subaru Impreza vehicle but the Forester actually adds a few exaggerated crease here and there.
The car will include some modest fender flares, and a new grille and front light design that is going to be swept further around the back of the car than before. The hood has also been set a bit higher than before with a bit of a more chiseled look to the front. There is an aggressive looking airdam added to the turbo models which brackets the front end of the car. The front scoop has been left out as well which adds more sophistication to the car.
The inside of the vehicle has not been tampered in a big way, yet the 2016 Subaru Forester receives some major updates for it. The instrument panel is shaped quite simply, and it actually shares most design layout with the Legacy mid-size sedan and the Outback vehicle. The car has been designed to give more openness to the front seat area and add more comfort that way. The materials that haven been used on the inside of the Forester have been upgraded to provide more comfort. Both the seating area and the instrument cluster have received some matte and soft-touch surfaces with the combination of matte-finish metallic trim accents. The top of the center console is graced with a large multi-information screen and has audio controls, intuitive climate and center console that also has the inevitable cup holders and various other storage parts.
The new 2016 Subaru Forester comes available with two engine choices. The base engine option remains the 70-horsepower, 2.5-liter flat four engine. On the other hand the 2.0XT model is a more powerful option which has the capacity to make 250 horsepower as it uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine type. The base engine option combines with the standard six-speed manual gearbox and has the optional continuously variable automatic transmission or CVT system. But there is also a third shifter option as Subaru remains one of the few compact crossover that has a manual transmission offered as well. On the other hand, the turbo 2.0XT is only offered with a CVT, but they also come with a SI-Drive system as well. Vehicles like the 2016 Toyota RAV4 or the Jeep Cherokee may have powerful setups. but the 2016 Subaru Forester can go through adversity with the engine update it has received.
