2016 GMC Yukon XL exterior
It is going to be fairly difficult to tell the 2015 and the 2016 year models of the GMC’s Yukon apart as they look fairy similar. The major updates includes the addition of new electronics which the car receives this time. The SLT trim level, for instance, will include a hands-free liftgate feature. It enables the users to open and close the tailgate using your foot by reaching it under the bumper. The base version as well as the XL come available with 18 inch wheels, but the larger 20 and 22 inch ones come as optional. The Denali version has 20 inch wheels as a base option while the 22 inch can be included by your choice. The new color specters are also something new for the Yukon and you can use the Crimson Red Tintcoat for the base and XL option while the SLT and Denali trims get the White Frost Tricoat available as optional.
Something that has been mounted on the inside, but actually faces the outside is the Driver Alert Package. This is a safety package which includes a Lane Keep Assist which is used to detect the traffic ahead and control the vehicle’s course through the traffic. The system will gently correct you if the driver suddenly leaves the traffic or the lane the vehicle is going on. Also included with this is the Intellibeam automatic headlight feature which turns the high beams off and on depending on the traffic situation.
The inside has also remains mostly the same. For instance, the fold-flat second and third row seats are available in all trims of the 2016 Yukon, this means that the hauling abilities and the towing ratings are high for any trim of the truck that is available for the 2016 year. The seats are also power folding and they provide a quick change from a vehicle intended for people to a cargo car.
The driver will get to use the eight-inch infotainment screen running GMC’s IntelliLink software. Some standard features that come available in all trims of the car are also the SiriusXM satellite radio and 4G LTE Wi-Fi services, while the navigation system is an optional additional. The Denali version has an upgraded instrument cluster that second eight-inch display and an optional heads-up display. In the XL models, the rear seat passengers can use dual screen Blu-ray/DVD system with Wireless headphones, allowing the youngest passengers at the back to have a good time during their trips.
